Writing an invalidation that survives the open
Scenario cards fail when the kill level sits inside normal opening noise. Here is how we rewrite them.

A scenario is only as honest as its kill line. In Scenario Lab we refuse cards that place invalidation one tick beyond yesterday’s low on a market that regularly gaps.
Observable, not hopeful
“If it feels weak, I’m out” is not a condition. “If the first hour closes back inside the prior day’s range after a gap-up break attempt, the card is void” is.
Opening noise budget
We ask each student to note the average opening range of their instrument for the last twenty sessions. Invalidation that lives inside that band is rewritten before the card can be pinned.
Overnight lock
Cards are locked after Saturday’s session in the Lab. Sunday morning edits require a dated margin note. The habit transfers to weekday trading: amend with a timestamp or leave the card alone.
