Refunds & cancellations
Refund, cancellation, rescheduling, and deposit rules for StoneCore Education chart pattern classes and private tutoring in Edinburgh.
Scope
This policy covers Chart Pattern Studio, Scenario Lab, private chart tutoring, and classroom visit bookings with StoneCore Education. It does not cover third-party software, brokerage fees, or products we do not sell.
Deposits
Open-cohort deposits (£80) are non-refundable once paid, because they reserve a limited seat and trigger material preparation. Deposits may be transferred once to a later cohort starting within six months if you give at least fourteen days’ notice before night one.
Full refunds (tuition balance)
You may receive a full refund of tuition paid beyond the deposit if you cancel in writing more than fourteen days before the first session of an open cohort, or more than forty-eight hours before a private tutoring session.
Partial refunds
Cancellations between fourteen and seven days before an open cohort starts may receive 50% of the tuition balance (deposit still non-refundable). Inside seven days, tuition balances are non-refundable unless we cancel the cohort.
If we cancel
If StoneCore cancels a class, you may choose a full refund of all amounts paid for that class (including deposit) or a free transfer to a later date.
Rescheduling
Private sessions may be rescheduled once without fee if you give at least forty-eight hours’ notice. Later changes or no-shows forfeit the session fee.
No-shows and work already started
Missing a cohort evening without notice does not generate a partial refund for that evening. Once a private session has begun, the fee is earned in full.
Materials
Printed packs issued in class are yours to keep and are not returnable for refund. If you cancel before materials are printed and we have not yet incurred print cost, no materials charge applies (none is billed separately for standard cohorts).
How to request a refund
Email hello@utilitystonecore.click with your name, class, and booking reference. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval.
Exceptions
Compassion exceptions (documented illness or bereavement) are considered case by case and may allow deposit transfer beyond the standard window without creating a cash refund obligation.
